Program Description
The Master of Health Sciences degree program requires a minimum of 33 semester hours of approved graduate coursework. The curriculum is composed of two parts: (1) core courses and (2) concentrations in health education, health management, nutrition, and emergency medical care.
In addition to the academic requirements, students are expected to adhere to the technical and professional standards of the program. Program Admission Requirements
In addition to the admissions criteria established by the Graduate School, the program also requires the following:
GPA and/or previous degree
Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 in all upper-level undergraduate coursework.
Essay or Narrative Statement
Applicants must submit a goal statement.
Letters of Recommendation
Three recommendations from former instructors or employers who are in a position to judge the applicant’s aptitude for graduate study are required.
Additional Requirements
Applicants who are admitted to the program must own or have access to a computer with Internet service that meets the minimum guidelines set by the WCU Information Technology division.
