Geography is a broad and integrative field and makes a valuable complement to almost any major. The geography minor consists of 18 hours of courses from a mix of human geography, physical geography, and geospatial techniques courses.

Geography Minor Requirements
Geography is a broad and integrative field and makes a valuable complement to almost any major. The geography minor consists of 18 hours of courses from a mix of human geography, physical geography, and geospatial techniques courses. At least one course is required from each of the of the following categories: human geography, physical geography and geospatial technologies. The remaining nine credits hours will consist of any 200 level or above courses from the approved course listings. These additional courses should be chosen with an advisor to best meet the student career goals. Human Geography
Choose at least one course within the Human Geography set of courses. Physical Geography
Choose at least one course within the Physical Geography set of courses. Geospatial Technologies
Choose at least one course within the Geospatial Technologies set of courses. Students may take GEOG 221 OR NRM 213 (not both) for credit. Electives
Courses may be drawn from courses offerings in human geography, physical geography, and geospatial techniques listed within the minor program at the 200 level or higher. The following courses will also fulfill requirements in the Geography minor. Additional university courses related to Geography may be approved as electives for the minor by the program director. |
