Occupational Safety Certificate

Students may elect to include in their programs of study a 14-15 hour sequence in occupational safety. Emphasis is placed on interpretation, application, and administration of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and other regulations to assist students in gaining entry-level expertise that can be applied directly in business and industry.

Certificate Requirements
Students who complete the courses below, with a minimum GPA of 2.0 will be awarded a certificate in occupational safety by the Department of Engineering Technology. The certificate is co-sponsored by the North Carolina Industrial Commission.
