SOC 260 - Chinese Culture and Society

Provides a broad introduction to Chinese culture and society by reviewing Chinese history and surveying the post-1978 Chinese society. Students develop knowledge and critically examine challenges, opportunities, fears and hopes that characterize everyday practices in Chinese life from historical, comparative, theoretical, and sociological perspectives (Liberal Studies P6).
