SM 350 - Global sport and culture

An interdisciplinary examination of sport as a global phenomenon. Historical, cultural, political, economic, and managerial perspectives are considered. Focus is given to international sport leagues and teams, the globalization of sport, global cultural influences on sport, market dynamics, emerging contemporary issues in the global sports industry, and U.S. based sport organizations operating internationally.
