BIOL 391 - Human Anatomy & Physiology for the Sciences I


BIOL 391 is the first of a two-course series taking an in-depth look at the structure and function of the human body and the interactions of organ systems to maintain homeostasis. Topics include an introduction to anatomy and physiology, anatomical terminology, homeostasis and feedback mechanisms, basic chemical concepts of living organisms, cells, tissues, and the digestive, integumentary, and musculoskeletal systems. The level of course content is designed for students with a background in general chemistry and biology. 3 Lecture, 3 Lab. Lab is required.

Prerequisites: A grade of C- or better in CHEM 139   & BIOL 240  .
Corequisites: Lab must be taken concurrently with lecture.
