BIOL 313 - Microbiology in Health and Nutrition


Morphological, cultural, biochemical, and staining characteristics of microorganisms; emphasis on those that infect humans and occur in water, food, and human environments. 3 Lecture, 3 Lab. (Lecture-3 credits, Lab-1 credits. Lab is required). Course is not open to students that have completed BIOL 413  

Prerequisites: Permission of instructor or major in Environmental Health, BS; Nutrition and Dietetics, BS; Pre-Nutrition and Dietetics; Nursing, BSN Degree/RN to BSN; BSN Degree/Basic Nursing Option or Interest in Nursing.
Corequisites: Lab must be taken concurrently with lecture.
