COUN 620 - Counseling Children and Adolescents

This course is designed to increase school and clinical mental health counseling students’ awareness, knowledge, and skills of counseling children, adolescents and transition age youth. Using developmental and multicultural frameworks, this course will explore client populations and issues, present a variety of effective theoretical approaches, counseling modalities and techniques for working with families, children, and adolescents.

Prerequisites: COUN 605 or permission of instructor.
