ENGR 435 - Technology and Society

Explores societal impacts of past technological innovations, emerging technologies, and technology governance. A range of interdisciplinary topics is studied including the historical, political, and social development in relation to technology. Contemporary questions such as global population, energy and the environment, artificial intelligence, security and surveillance, nanotechnology, biomedical technology, the Internet of Things, and social media are evaluated (Liberal Studies P1).
