ENGL 466 - Global Cinemas An intensive study of one or more national cinemas outside the United States, tending to the significant political, historical, social, and cultural events that have shaped that cinematic tradition. This course offers a historical survey of major film movements around the world. It explores key cinematic works and situates them within their aesthetic, cultural, and political context to trace their impact on global cinematic traditions.
