The course includes content information delivered through active participation, online learning modules, and small group discussions; on and off the water. Water venues will be dependent upon weather factors, water levels, time constraints, student interest and fitness levels. At the end of the course, students will be able to effectively stand-up paddle on calm, flat water, with less than 10-knot winds or in one-foot waves or smaller, or in one-to-two knot current utilizing a variety of strokes. They will also be able to safely plan stand up paddle trips to a variety of local lakes and rivers.
