BIOL 180 - Introduction to Biological Research

This course is designed for biology majors in their first, or second year, and transfer students. This one-credit introductory course will cover the conduct, ethics, common practices in biological research, and introduction to faculty research in the department. Topics covered for the proposed course: introduction to literature search, literature interpretation, research conduct, research ethics, impact of science on society, scientific method, and scientific communication (reading and writing).
