Additional Requirements


6 hours selected from 300-400 level literature courses.

To complete the program, a total of 36 hours is required, including a minor, second major, or other approved program and general electives. Students must take at least 32 hours at the 300-400 level at WCU in order to satisfy general university degree requirements.

Additional Information

  1. Students may finish earlier if they attend summer school at WCU or another approved institution
  2. The B.A. in English Professional Writing requires a Minor. This curriculum assumes a minor of 18 credit hours. The curriculum may need to be adjusted for Minors requiring different hours.
  3. See catalog and advisor for guidelines regarding where a student should begin his or her language course of study. Should a student need or desire to take 101 and/or 102, either can count for P6.
  4. A student should always develop a course of study in consultation with his or her English Department Advisor.
